ITC Hackathon 2025: Innovation Thrives When Diverse Minds Collaborate

On June 21st, ITC Group hosted a highly successful internal AI hackathon, bringing together cross-functional teams from various departments for a full day of innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving. The event was designed to encourage creative thinking, foster interdepartmental engagement, and explore practical solutions that align with our strategic objectives. 

The hackathon was honored to have a judging panel led by our CEO, along with two Vice Presidents from key departments. Their leadership, industry insight, and thoughtful feedback played a vital role in evaluating the projects and inspiring teams to think beyond the hackathon.

The event, which ran from early morning until the evening, featured over 6 teams tackling diverse business and technical challenges about digital transformation and the power of AI. Participants included software engineers, product managers, business analysis, quality assurance engineers, designers, marketers, and support staff, each contributing their unique perspective and expertise. This multidisciplinary approach resulted in an impressive array of prototypes, ranging from internal automation tools to new customer-facing features. 

Throughout the day, teams worked intensively to define their problem statements, develop working solutions, and prepare final presentations for a panel of judges. The spirit of collaboration and innovation was evident in every corner of the event space. Colleagues supported each other not only within their teams but across groups, sharing insights and tools that elevated the overall quality of the projects. 

By the end of the day, several standout solutions emerged, demonstrating real potential for further development and implementation. Winning teams were recognized for their creativity, technical excellence, and business impact.  

Beyond the projects themselves, the hackathon served as a valuable opportunity for team bonding, professional growth, and reinforcing our culture of continuous improvement. The energy and enthusiasm displayed by all participants reflect the strong sense of purpose and commitment within our organization.
